Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983 from a joint degree program with theUniversity of Georgia and Medical College of Georgia. After practicing as a registered nurse for several years, Anne returned to school and attended Emory University School of Law, where she obtained her law degree in 1989. While at Emory she was a member of the intrastate moot court team and was later a Director of the Moot Court special teams. Anne was also inducted into the Order of the Barristers.

After receiving her law degree, Anne practiced in the area of insurance defense for approximately 10 years before joining Garland , Samuel & Loeb in 1998. Due to her nursing background, Anne's practice now focuses on areas including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability and medical malpractice.
