Pedestrian Killed By Hit-and-run Driver

It is hard to believe that a driver could hit a pedestrian with his vehicle in Fulton County and not even stop to make sure the person he hit was alright and try to offer help, if necessary. Yet sadly, hit-and-run accidents are not uncommon. There are many reasons why a person may flee the scene. He may be driving on a suspended license, have a warrant out for his arrest, or be on probation and fears that his involvement in a fatal accident may get him into more trouble with the law. However, none of these excuses are reasons to ignore the value of a human life.

A hit-and-run accident resulted in the death of a pedestrian recently in Savannah, Georgia. Had the driver stopped to check on the man and help him, he may have survived. As it were, he was hit by a second vehicle as he was lying in the street. The other vehicle likely did not see him there as it was around midnight and the street was dark at the time. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.

The man was walking on Howard Foss Drive when the hit-and-run driver crashed into him. Authorities are still searching for the driver and have asked the public for help in identifying the vehicle.

The family of the pedestrian killed in this accident may wish to consult with a personal injury attorney to find out what they can do in order to receive compensation for their loved one’s death and funeral expenses.
